Details on how to do this task: Make data accessible

WV Data: Raw image list & low rez DEM {Dave} -- Shean, David; Pope, Allen (2015): Jakobshavn WorldView DEMs. figshare. http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1333624 Raw image list & low rez DEM {Mike}: Willis, Mike; Pope, Allen (2015): Northwest Greenland WorldView DEMs. figshare. http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1328600

GIMP DEM Raw: Howat, I.M., A. Negrete, B.E. Smith, 2014, The Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP) land classification and surface elevation datasets, The Cryosphere, 8, 1509-1518, doi:10.5194/tc-8-1509-2014 {used the 90m, reprojected into polar stereo with 90m posting and the same layer extent, include in workflow} {Then processed to be like Landsat data; provide code & description to do this}

Landsat Data Raw {other source – metadata}: Pope, Allen (2015): Landsat 8 Scenes Used for Greenland Supraglacial Lake Depth Analysis. figshare. http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1328470

Lake depths: Pope, Allen (2015): Jakobshavn Area 2014 Landsat 8 Lake Depths. figshare. http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1328577 {will also provide code to get between these two steps, including any subsetting information for NW region}

Spectra (boat) https://www.aoncadis.org/dataset/lake_spectra_and_depths.html Tedesco, M., N. Steiner, and A. Pope (2015): In situ spectral reflectance and depth of a supraglacial lake in Greenland. UCAR/NCAR - CISL - ACADIS. Dataset. http://dx.doi.org/10.5065/D6FQ9TN2

Ice Spectra (field) Pope, A., and Rees, W.G. (2015): Langjokull (Iceland) Facies Reflectance Spectra - Summer 2011. UCAR/NCAR - CISL - ACADIS. Dataset. http://dx.doi.org/10.5065/D6S46Q0D

Pope, A. and Rees, W. G. (2015): Midtre Lovenbreen (Svalbard) Facies Reflectance Spectra - Summer 2010. UCAR/NCAR - CISL - ACADIS. Dataset. http://dx.doi.org/10.5065/D6WW7FQD

Comparison statistics, depths etc.: provide code, potentially republish figures…

Notes: -Took more time to wrangle data / code (which really need to be done together) than I expected, but if I had done so early on, it would have been easier. -ACADIS support were really helpful -Figshare was almost too easy -Questions of data authorship arose, it was best to deal with them head on and bluntly. Credit where credit it due and nowhere else. -Some collaborators enthusiastic, others very hesitant to share -Sometimes it just takes an ask to share data and get it out there -Issues in terms of publishing data, other results / methods first before able to share full data -Can't really just do data on their own - need software to go hand-in-hand
